***Fun Fact: Did you know that panther, as in black panther, is a general term for any big cat with a black coat and that black panthers are really either jaguars or leopards who have a gene that produces dark pigmentation. Mammals, such as these, are called melanistic. If you look closely or see them in bright light, you can see their spots within their black coat.
