Chakra, in Sanskrit, means wheel, disk or circle. There are 7 main chakras that run from the pelvis to the top of the head. They, and their movement, regulate the flow of energy throughout the system of meridians that run through your body and correspond to nerve bundles, organs and energetic parts of your body and being. This means that if any chakra(s) are blocked, it may upset your emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Other chakras, besides these main seven, have been discovered. I, personally, work with chakras above my crown chakra and below my root chakra.
